Terms and Conditions

I. Organizer and Scope of Application

1. The Dao Dance Festival is organized by Wu Shu Men e.V., Torstraße 40, 10119 Berlin, hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer.”

2. The Dao Dance Festival (hereinafter referred to as the “Event” or “Festival”) takes place on a designated site in the Prignitz district (Germany). The festival grounds include both the event area and the associated parking areas (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “festival grounds”).

3. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all legal relationships between the event organizer and the respective participant—both when purchasing tickets and when attending the event.

4. By purchasing a ticket, each participant bindingly accepts these Terms and Conditions, as well as all rights and obligations arising therefrom.

II. General Information

1. The Dao Dance Festival 2026 is designed to accommodate a maximum of 400 participants.

2. Tickets are available exclusively through our website—even during the event. You can place an order as long as tickets are available. Once the allocation is exhausted, the ordering option will be automatically disabled.

3. The tickets are personalized, but can be transferred upon request.

4. Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 may participate only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (Section 1(1)(4) of the Youth Protection Act (JuSchG)). Legal guardians must be able to present a written authorization as well as a copy of the legal guardian’s identification.

5. Day passes are valid from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. the following day.

6. Weekend tickets are valid from 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, until the end of the festival.

7. By attending the festival, each participant agrees that photo and video recordings may be made of them and used for the festival’s documentation and public relations purposes. If you do not wish to be recorded, please speak directly to our photo or video team—your request will, of course, be respected.

8. The organizer exercises the right to manage the premises and may delegate this right.

III. Conclusion of the Contract

1. The purchase of a ticket for the Dao Dance Festival establishes a contractual relationship exclusively between the purchaser (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant” or “Visitor”) and the organizer.

2. By completing the ordering process and confirming these Terms and Conditions, the participant submits a binding offer. The contract is concluded as soon as the personalized ticket is sent via email.

3. There is no right of withdrawal or return after the contract has been concluded.

4. After completing the ordering process, the participant will receive a confirmation email with payment information.

5. Payment should be made within ten days of receiving the confirmation email.

6. If the tickets are not shipped within three weeks, the participant may grant the organizer a grace period of one week. Upon expiration of this period, the participant may withdraw from the contract in writing.

7. All tickets include a QR code. Admission is granted only once per QR code. The code must be kept in a safe place and serves as your official proof of admission.

8. When ordering tickets on behalf of a third party, these Terms and Conditions also apply to that person.

9. Tickets can only be purchased through the festival website. There is no box office on site.

IV. Conduct of the Event

1. The festival will generally take place regardless of the weather. In exceptional cases (e.g., force majeure or official orders), it may be suspended or canceled. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund.

2. If the festival is canceled before it begins—without a rescheduled date—for reasons other than those listed in Section IV.1, the ticket price may be refunded within ten days of the original event dates by sending an email to ticket@dao-dance.de.

3. Travel to the site and parking are at your own risk. The German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) apply in the parking areas.

4. Participants agree to treat the premises and all facilities with care. Any damage caused by participants or their accompanying persons must be reported immediately and compensated for.

5. Natural factors such as tree fruits, insects, animals, or branches may cause disruptions; the organizer assumes no liability for such occurrences.

6. The organizer assumes no liability for lost or damaged items.

7. The organizer has no influence over artistic content and reserves the right to make changes to the program.

8. Changes to the program do not entitle you to a refund of the admission price.

9. Access to certain areas may be restricted due to capacity limitations.

10. Personal photography is permitted—professional equipment may be used only with prior approval.

V. Safety & Rules of Conduct

1. All participants agree to follow the instructions of the security staff. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the premises.

2. Security checks, including pat-downs and bag searches, may be conducted upon entry to the premises.

3. The organizer reserves the right to deny admission to participants for good cause—such as carrying prohibited items, obvious drug or alcohol abuse, or discriminatory or aggressive behavior. In such cases, the ticket or festival wristband will become invalid, and no refund will be issued.

4. The following items are not permitted anywhere on the premises: Weapons (except for training weapons used for sports purposes), torches, fireworks, dry ice, sparklers, sky lanterns, vuvuzelas, megaphones, commercial or political materials (flags, banners, flyers, etc.), and other dangerous items.

5. There is one central fire pit; open fires are not permitted elsewhere on the grounds.

6. Pets are not allowed. Special permission may be granted upon request.

7. Climbing on stages, trusses, speakers, or tents is prohibited.

8. Access to restricted or non-public areas, such as technical zones, stages, or backstage areas, is not permitted.

9. Violence, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate expulsion. In such cases, tickets will become invalid.

10. Relieving oneself outside the restrooms is not permitted—please use the designated restroom facilities.

11. For security reasons, parts of the premises are under video surveillance.

12. In cases of serious violations, a ban from the premises may be imposed. Criminal offenses will be reported to the authorities.

13. The volume during musical performances may exceed 95 dB. Hearing protection is recommended for adults and is mandatory for children.

14. Trash must be disposed of exclusively in the designated containers.

VI. Liability

1. Entry onto the premises is at your own risk.

2. All participants are responsible for their own accident and liability insurance coverage. The organizer is liable only to the extent provided by law.

3. If the event is canceled due to force majeure or by order of the authorities, there is no entitlement to compensation.

VII. Final Provisions

1. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

2. The invalid clause shall be replaced by a provision that complies with the law and most closely reflects the original intent.
